ABOUT THE PUBLIC ACTOR
Family and Prevention is a department under the Children and Youth Administration, which encompasses a diverse group of employees, such as health nurses, social workers, family therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, parent advisors and many others, who are ready with offers for children, young people and families who need extra support for a shorter or longer period.
AT VOLUNTEER EXCHANGE '22 WE OFFER
- To help spread the word about your offer to relevant employees in Family and Prevention.
- The opportunity to participate in the Children's Network for organizations with services for children aged 0-10 years and their families.
- Knowledge of our many preventive initiatives for children, young people and families in Odense, including our parent advisor who helps families on their way if the collaboration with the municipality has reached a deadlock.
AT VOLUNTEER EXCHANGE '22 WE WANT
- Collaborate with an association about volunteers for the Health Care Center's depression group for mothers with postpartum depression.
As it is now, the vast majority of participating mothers bring their children to the group meetings. When the children reach a certain age, it can become disruptive for the group, and it is also extremely vulnerable for the mothers to have to talk about difficult or missing feelings for their young child in front of them.
Therefore, there is a huge desire to partner with a voluntary organization that will help take care of the babies while the mothers meet with professionals.
